The new Sports Resource Center in Leganés adapts a stoned plinth that floats above the green plane of the garden. The solid mass is punctured with a series of courtyards that bring light and nature inside the building. The proposal aims at consolidating the place’s memory, currently characterized by a small banana-tree forest. The proposal helps to integrate the building within the urban fabric with the least impact due to a strategy of camouflage. A folded profile allows the site-centered building to adapt to the site geometry without showing its real dimensions, which is achieved through a dialogue with the surrounding greenery. An office module is repeated inside the building forming bands that alternate with the circulation spaces. The offices receive soft and regular daylight from the upper clerestory windows oriented to the north. Conversely, a number of courtyards are inserted within the plan grid so as to introduce nature and south direct daylight inside.

Siguiendo una estrategia de camuflaje, el edificio ocupa la parte central de la parcela liberando todo el perímetro que se ocupará por vegetación. Con un perfil quebrado adaptado a la geometría de la parcela, el edificio nunca muestra su verdadera magnitud y entabla un diálogo con la vegetación circundante reduciendo su escala con un perfil orgánico. Se propone un edificio compacto en una gran masa pétrea, un volumen único que levita sobre el plano verde del jardín. Dicho volumen es perforado por múltiples patios que llevan la luz y la naturaleza al interior del edificio. El edificio toma forma partiendo de la unidad mínima de programa, el despacho. Este módulo se repite formando baterías  que se alternan con espacios de circulación. La repetición de pequeños células de programa permite que el edificio se adapte a la geometría de la parcela con facilidad. Estos despachos reciben luz suave y constante a través de unos lucernarios abiertos al norte que enmarcan visiones del cielo desde el interior del edificio. Como contrapunto se abren unos patios que aportan luz directa y naturaleza.
